Sr. Java Developer

Key responsibilities:

Assist in all necessary phases of a project implementation, including functional requirements, technical design, development, unit testing and user acceptance testing as we build the CUAS application on a new technology stack.
Application development in a Groovy based environment
Develop server based software with REST Web Services and JSON
Develop web application components using AngularJS, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
Work in an agile, collaborative culture
Develop software that operates within a highly scalable, distributed multi-tiered system
Collaborate with architects and software engineers on designs ? Mentor more junior technical team members
Participate with business team members using agile techniques and practices to identify requirements, acceptance criteria and designs
Effectively balance and prioritize multiple projects at once
Promote development best practices and leverage TR and industry standard technology

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer science (or related field)
5+ years of client side development of web based applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON
1+ years experience with AngularJS or similar JavaScript frameworks such as BackboneJS, Ember or KnockoutJS
Experience with CSS pre-processing platforms such as SASS and LESS
Experience with JavaScript unit test frameworks such as Jasmine and Karma
Experience developing in Groovy, Java or another object-oriented language

Preferred Skills:

Experience with object-oriented analysis and design principles
Experience with Grails or other application frameworks such as Spring
Experience with GORM or other ORM frameworks such as Hibernate
Experience with unit testing using Spock
Experience with functional testing using Protractor or Selenium
Experience designing & developing software for a critical enterprise n-tier web product
Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities
