Location: McLean, VA
Duration: 6 month contract
Max Rate: $45.41/hr
Manager notes: I really am focusing on a Linux background, where they've done systems administration, but also tailed application support, where they're really supporting an application platform (not just a Unix/Linux server). They will definitely need some good experience in AWS, as we are currently working on setting up a new platform in AWS, using the console, as well as setting up cloud formation templates to accomplish a completely automated process of provisioning EC2 instances.
Description:
Provides IT systems support that may include duties such as installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing. Also performs quality assurance processes to effectively manage system availability and improve operations.
Includes high-level support of applications, such as administration, server builds and upgrades, domain configuration, and performance and tuning.
Service Experience 3+ years
Financial Services experience 1+ years required
Regional
3+ years of project experience in the quality assurance and testing phases of projects
Capital One Experience Preferred
Deep knowledge of Unix/Linux platforms
Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (AWS)
Mission Criticality Experience working on production systems
Troubleshooting: Advanced demonstration of diagnostic skills
Provides clear concise communication with project team and mid-level management
Demonstrated ability to work with individual third parties and coordinate solutions internally
