QA/Development Lead

1 Year

 

We are in need of a QA Engineer to support the DotCom Platform Transformation work.

 

The project is migrating the existing e-Commerce platform to a new platform that enables fast, continuous delivery and supports cloud-based hosting.

 

Please provide answers to the following questions with all submittals:

1.  How do you keep current with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in the software testing industry?
2.  Are there reasons not to apply automation to testing? If so, where does that make sense?
3.  In your experience, what factors can make software testing difficult?
4.  In your opinion, what are some of the most significant advances in software testing in recent years?

 

Description of Responsibilities:

·        Function as a QA engineer supporting multiple development teams

·        Develop automated functional tests against browsers, devices, and web service APIs

·        Work with development teams to understand acceptance criteria for feature completeness

·        Work with development teams to continuously improve overall testing practices

·        Perform other tasks related to testing

Description of Skills:

MUST HAVE

·        5+ years QA/development experience

·        Agile team experience

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        Test plan development

·        Test-driven development experience

·        Cross-browser testing experience

·        Web service (API) testing experience

·        Experience with test data management strategies

NICE TO HAVE

·        Experience with service-oriented architecture

·        e-Commerce experience

·        Experience with both open-source and commercial testing tools

·        Development experience with scripting languages

·        Development experience with Java, XML, JSON
