Title : Windows Admin /System admin

Location: Bloomington

Duration:  12+ Months  possibility of renewal

 

Deployment Role:  Windows Remote Server Execution

 

Task Description:  Windows Remote Server Execution provides support for all infrastructure and agency servers, network printer support, server hardware troubleshooting, VMware, server issuance installation, change implementation, and incident resolution. Supported platforms include Active Directory, DNS\WINS, Windows 2003 and 2008 servers, Windows clustering, Live Communication Server, SharePoint Services, Distributed File System (DFS), VMware, Internet Authentication Server (IAS), Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and Messaging and Collaborative Technology Server Software, which provides support for Microsoft Messaging & Collaboration servers, BlackBerry and Topcall software, and programs and utilities used for enterprise messaging and collaboration.  Additional responsibilities include writing technical documentation, working with various problem management areas and project teams, performing root cause analysis, learning new technologies, and rotational support of the State Farm Command Center.

High technical aptitude and demonstrated commitment to technical skill development
Knowledgeable in State Farms system infrastructure and Agency environment

Ability to develop documentation

Critical Technical Skills:
Experience and/or knowledge of Storage Area Networking, drive corruption troubleshooting, and drive array configuration.
Experience and/or knowledge of VMware, IIS, Communication Server, SharePoint, SCOM, or IAS are desirable.
Experience with messaging applications (such as Exchange, BlackBerry, Lotus Notes, Topcall) and isolating and resolving problems and developing long term solutions.
Experience or knowledge of the BlackBerry and Microsoft Exchange server relationship
Experience with Windows clustering, DFS, and printer management.
Experience managing Active Directory in a multi-forest environment.
Experience using UNIX operating systems desirable.
Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, DHCP, WINS, and DNS.
Demonstrated ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and develop solutions to Windows Server 2003 and 2008 related problems.
Strong knowledge of Service Manager and a basic understanding of OVO monitoring
