(3)    Experience using the Compatibility Mode within Office 2010 to open/edit binary files saved in earlier versions of Office.

Office 2010 Migration Engineer

As a part of migrating to the Windows 7 / Office 2010 desktop Xcel Energy has a requirement to have existing Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint files usable by end users. We are looking for an experienced resource to work with Business Departments in the analysis and remediation of their Office 2003 files for Office 2010.

MUST have:
• At least 5 years experience working with Word, Excel and Access database applications. Specifically supporting Visual Basic for Applications code (VBA) and macros within these products. This experience can be with Office 2003, 2007, or 2010.
• At least 1 year with Office 2010 file formats.
• Experience migrating from earlier versions of Microsoft Office to newer versions.
• Experience using the Compatibility Mode within Office 2010 to open/edit binary files saved in earlier versions of Office.

IDEAL to have:
• Experience using an Office analysis tool such as Microsoft's OMPM or Converter Technologies' Office Converter
• Experience using Visual Studio Tools for Office
• Understanding of the Open XML format used for Office 2010 files
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
