Agile Development Experience is a must (Must be certified in Agile) 
Resource planning experience 
Must have great communication skills 

 

 

Title:  Project Manager

Duration:  6 months

Location:  195 Broadway-New York

Contract

 

Job Responsibilities: 

Project Management 
• Manages one or more projects with risk, complexity and visibility that relate to critical business goals
• Manages project deliverables, scope & expectations and coordinates project progress with stakeholders, program manager and senior management. 
• Interfaces independently with all functional & business areas/ groups affected by the project, including senior and/or executive management.

Works closely with functional resource managers to ensure adequate allocation of resources to projects being managed 
• Develops and tracks to detailed project plans, including schedules, resource plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans and issue resolution plans 
• Makes project decisions and recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization, and resource allocation with input from others as needed 

Communication and Collaboration are key
Communicates and reports status to Program Manager, Project Sponsor and all other stakeholders 


Qualifications 

Knowledge and Skills: 
• Proven project management experience in same or related industry - demonstrated achievements in planning, directing, and implementing multiple and concurrent projects 
• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams across multiple locations 
• Strong technical and business subject matter expertise 
• Solid knowledge of project management best practices is required. Exposure to multiple methodologies is preferred 
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization and strong relationship building abilities 
• Ability to work effectively with diverse styles, skills, and abilities and across cultures 
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills 
• Excellent negotiating, influencing, and conflict resolution skills 
• Experience in compiling and analyzing information to estimate project costs accurately, including providing input into business case development 
• Computer skills including good proficiency with Microsoft Project and/or other project management tools as well as Microsoft Office Suite 

Experience: 
• 3-5 years Project Managerial experience including successful management of multiple projects with teams in distributed locations. 
• Experience within technology infrastructure, operations or content management environment is desirable. 

Certification/ Education: 
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree 
• Certified or working towards professional certification such as CSM or PMP from the Project Management Institute is a plus
