ColdFusion Developer

3 Months

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for a complex web and mobile-based platform
• Provide technical leadership in coding practices.
• Provide technical leadership in debugging issues and taking then to resolution.
• Working with the Functional Development Manager, establish a highly functioning team of developers, QA analysts, platform operations, and customer service professionals
• Participate in the specification and design phase
• Prototype, code and test components
• Communicate with QA throughout testing phase
• Prepare documentation
• Support operational department and production systems when needed
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by Software Development Manager.

Requirements:
• MA/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or BA/BS with equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years solid web application design and development in ColdFusion environment
• 2+ years of Java experience a strong plus.
• Experience with build tools like ANT/Maven strongly desired. Experience with continuous integration tools like CruiseControl / Hudson / Jenkins desirable.
• Experience with XML, DTD/XSD, XSLT and XML parsing/transformation desirable. JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and Dynamic HTML, XHTML a strong plus. Experience using AJAX in a web application to communicate with a web service preferred.
• Experience with JBoss Application Server/Tomcat preferred.
• Experience with JMS and EAI technologies including web services to communicate with applications running on the ColdFusion platform a strong plus
• Database design experience using a major RDBMS is required. Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle preferred
• Skilled in analyzing product requirements and designing solutions. Ability to work both independently, and in a team, to achieve design and delivery goals is a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
