The Application Development Analyst/Programmer will develop innovative web solutions and system modifications. Produce high quality results that add value, are completely based on documented deliverables and are completed on time according to standards. Responds to internal and external customer needs including incidents/tickets and service requests with assistance. Provide on call support as required. Possesses good level of verbal listening and written communication skills. Keeps management and customers informed of status. Ability to understand business requirements in order to develop appropriate technical web based solutions. Adheres to the software development life cycle (SDLC). Acquires basic business knowledge related to assignments and look for continuous improvement opportunities. Proactively pursues training and applies these skills when developing technical web based solutions. Complete project tasks and estimates as needed. Report on progress to technical project manager and manager.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other technical discipline and five years of experience in website support, design, development and maintenance using J2EE standard tools. Excellent written and communication skills with a focus on Customer service is a must. Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, organization skills and ability to perform efficiently and effectively in a dynamic environment is required. Ability to proactively identify innovative solutions to challenging and complex problems.
Applicants must have:
Ability to implement and deploy Java Application Servers like Websphere and configuring various Servlet engines. Background in object-oriented analysis and design. Proficient in using J2EE Frameworks, (Struts, Ibatis, Hibernate, Spring, and JSF). Good understanding of IBM Portal Server (Websphere), Web Content Mgmt (WCM), and Portlet development. Good understanding of the LDAP technology, PUMA API, Web Services, and XML. Knowledge of Databases, and ability to write and understand complex queries. Experience in Oracle and Unix is a strong plus.
