Title: Network Engineer

Location : Great Oaks Blvd in San Jose

Duration : 9 Months to  1 Year

Responsibilities
Designs, installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains data network equipment, inclusive of but not limited to the switches, routers, ACS, IDS/IPS & firewalls. Provides usage & management reports, completes requests for new service, determines methodology for installing data networking service, determines appropriateness of moderate equipment changes or modifications, communication circuit provisioning & changes. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to the senior architect of network services.

Qualifications
Previous experience in designing, implementing & maintaining large scale Cisco data networking environments and reporting systems.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, i.e. written and verbal
- Certifications – either CCNP or CCIE preferred
- Thorough knowledge of IP routing and switching
- Thorough knowledge of QoS
- Good understanding of other protocols, i.e. NetBIOS, etc.
- Good understanding of Networking Security principles & practices, i.e. ACLs, firewall rules, etc.
