Lead System Administrator / Team Lead 

6+ Month Contract

*upon offer, candidates must complete background check and drug test*

 

This role will primarily focus upon serving as Basis Team Lead responsible for governing Basis Administration across projects and support. The role will extend to consist of a combination of responsibilities including providing technical expertise and direction to contract staff, ensuring the appropriate SOPs/checklists are in-place and followed, leading strategic initiatives, and performing basis administration tasks.

 

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for achieving expected outcomes related to overall SAP administration and optimizing Medtronic's investment from the technical landscape.

They will work instrumentally with contract staff to clarify work direction to perform project & support tasks, provide technical leadership and administration.

 

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree OR 8 years of work experience in lieu of a 4 year degree or a combination of work and education to equal a 4 year degree

• Working understanding of complex software and information technology solutions and ability to apply to client needs.

 

JOB EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years of IT experience with B.A or B.S.; 10+ years of IT experience with M.A. or M.S.

• 8-10 years working as SAP Basis Administrator with demonstrated experience related to support, maintenance, and implementation projects.

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience as Basis Team Lead

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience with specific technical area (BW, ABAP, Java)

 

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

• Demonstrated ability within administrative toolsets including Solution Manager, along with SAP application modules ECC6, BW, BW Accelerator, and Portal

• ABAP, Java, and/or BW administration

• Demonstrated ability for setting, and executing toward, strategic direction across areas of responsibility.
