·         recursive vs. cached lookups

·         Authoritative Configuration

·         Top Level Domains

·         Forward Zones and DNS Record Types

·         Reverse Records

·         Statistics

·         Named stats

·         Named stats channel

·         RPZ

·         DNSSEC

·         SNMP

·         Performance Testing

·         Performance Testing (dnsperf)

·         Spirent Performance Testing

·         Testing Automation

·         Sound writing skills to produce project documentation, like:

·         Design Documents

·         Certification Documents

·         Test results

·         Engineering Guidelines

·         Methods and Procedures

 

Job Title               : ASR9K (Cisco) Network Engineer

Location               : Jersey City , New Jersey-USA

Duration              : 12 Months

 

 should have exp in ASR9K (its a cisco product)
                   - 8 positions open (they want the candidates to start imm)
•             Command line hands on knowledge of Cisco routers and switches including:

•             ASR9K running native IOS-XR

•             Catalyst 2900 series switches

•             Catalyst 6500 series switches

•             Cisco GSR platform

•             Cisco 7200 platform

•             Spirent and IXIA test tools

•             SNMP testing (traps and MIBS)

 

Network Protocols

 

•             Detailed knowledge of BGP, OSPF, static and MPLS routing

•             Ability to decode and analyze packets

•             Detailed knowledge of Access Control Lists

•             Knowledge of SNMP useful

 

Useful Additional Skills

 

•             UNIX workstation operation, particularly Solaris and LINUX

•             Remote Access experience with dial up modems

•             Knowledge of database applications built on Oracle

•             Ability to write test documentation

•             Ability to work with vendors on problem resolution
