Position:  Architectural Engineer

Rate 45/hr

The selected candidate will be working with our client located in Erlanger, KY. This is a 7 month contract.

The selected candidate will apply architectural principles and establishes technical and process standards for a given platform, architects system design, drives configuration based on requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Create technical solution architecture designs for enterprise wide solutions.
• Deliverables include solution overview diagrams, infrastructure designs, Data Flow Diagrams, Use Cases, Gap Analysis.
• Strong familiarity with UML and Design Patterns is a must.
• Ability to create and communicate conceptual and logical diagrams according to company standards.
• Research and documentation of solution and data architecture related artifacts in the creation of both short term and long term solutions.
• Perform research and documentation that ensures standards are being followed and or create as needed.
• This is not a development position, although some development work may be required. It is expected that the candidate has a strong development background and is able to create "proof of concept" scenarios and evaluate potential 3rd party tools.

Required Skills:

• Expertise with multiple concepts (Solution Architecture/System Design, ETL, BI, MDM, Data Integration, Data Modeling). Informatica, Oracle BI, ODI, Databases (Oracle, SQLServer, DB2), CA Erwin, Java applications required
• Expertise with ERP systems and Programming. Hyperion, PeopleSoft, WebSphere and/or Weblogic, Oracle Identity Mgt. knowledge is a plus
• Expertise creating solution architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams and system context diagrams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills (verbal and written).
• Expertise in the design of N-tier solutions, server and client side solution architecture.
• Expertise with UML and Design Patterns.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Creative thinking for providing innovative solutions.
• Self Starter.
• This person needs to be able to identify opportunities for value on their own.
• Experience with Microsoft products (Excel, Project, Visio, Power Point, Word).
• Experience in other technologies is a plus.
