Best Buy Mobile IT is looking for an experienced Technical Lead for the Customer Acquisition and Retention project.  This team is responsible for developing an application that will promote activations of mobile phones within Best Buy.  The ideal candidate must be motivated, organized, and a self-starter, yet able to take direction, follow a plan, and work within deadlines.

 

Required Skills:

·       Must have strong team facilitation and management skills

·       Must be self-sufficient/self-starter

·       Must work well with little direction/takes initiative

·       Deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle and structured software development methodologies

·       Strong hands on knowledge of J2ee technologies(Java,Jsp,Servlets,JDBC)

·       Ability to Code and deliver the tasks independently

·       Experience working with application servers like Weblogic, tomcat

·       Knowledge on XML,XSDs and programming experience processing xml documents

·       Experience with SOA based architectures and extensive experience with SOAP based webservices

·       Hands on experience with Oracle, and Strong SQL skills

·       Experience in supporting application Deployments, Source control management and administrating builds using tools like Jenkins, Cruise Control

·       Experience with Agile

·       Lead the development in achieving the project goals, mentoring

·       Monitor the work progress and resolve road blocks in getting iteration delivery

·       Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue

·       Work with internal cross commit teams to accomplish project deliverables

·       Strong application design/problem solving skills

 

Nice to have Skills:

·       Knowledge on open sources such as Spring and Hibernate

·       Knowledge of REST based services

·       Experience with Groovy, and other front end technologies like PHP

·       Mobile phone or retail industry experience
