• Work in a 24x7 operations model in a Global Delivery Model
• Act as second level support within the incident management process for the Solaris, HP-UX, Linux hardware and operating systems
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from commercial, and locally developed monitoring tools.
• Technical support and general troubleshooting
• Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, System failure analysis and recovery; insuring the consistency and integrity of file systems.
• Liaison with hardware/software vendors to troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Troubleshoot server backup job failures and ensure servers are ready for backup
• Perform file restores for users, for system recovery
• Participate in hardware and software migration and upgrade efforts of varying size and complexity.
• Participate as a project team member in service delivery and service support projects to deliver new technology and to enhance existing technology
• Perform day-to-day preventive maintenance tasks to ensure that Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux Servers are available and performing appropriately, that they are highly available to partners and the end-user community, and that any issues are being proactively resolved
• Process End of Life requests for physical and/or virtual Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux servers following SOPs
• Perform quarterly scheduled afterhours patch implementation across 1800+ Solaris, HPUX, and Linux servers
• Adhere to change management guidelines for all changes
• Prepare technical procedure documents, process documents and  system appreciation documents
• Prepare weekly, monthly team performance and other requested reports for customers
• Liaison with client manger to understand the requirement and address day-to-day issues
