Rochester, MN- 6 months- rate is 45.00- local is ideal.

Description of Services:

Perform Software Application testing for RLIMS.  Activities include use of HP Testing Tools to document and record application testing, executing test cases, and communicating effectively both verbally and textually.

 

Description of Deliverables:

The Software Application Tester will share joint responsibility with RLIMS SQA to own the testing requirements. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

 • Adhere to the project schedules

 • Thoroughly read and understand the functional specifications for the project (Clarify ambiguous specifications with project team)

 • Develop Test Plans as necessary (Strategy of how to execute the test cases)

 • Develop Test Cases (the test scenarios) and Data Sets

 • Facilitating review and sign-off of the Test Cases (coversheet review form) and Test Plan

 • Execute Test Cases

 • Document Test Results

 • Log incidents

 • Assist the project team in dispositioning the incidents

 • Perform follow-up activities such as:

                  •     Edit test cases as necessary;

                  •     Re-test as necessary;

                  •     Update testing documentation as necessary;

                  •     Develop a Test Summary

 • Report upon successful completion of the testing phase of the project and securing sign-off by project manager

 

Desired skills include experience with HP testing tools such as Quality Center, knowledge of key-word automation methodology, and experience with HP's Business Process Testing (BPT).

 

This requirement work has been Approved by Jodie Ice and will be charged to RLIMS (as specified by the Cost Center below).

 

Candidate must possess strong analytical thinking skills, excellent documentation skills, ability to team with people at all levels, and skills in coping with ambiguous situations.

 

Experience testing software applications (Required) 2 Years

Experience with the software quality cycle (Required) 3 Years

Experience developing data-driven tests (Required) 1 Year

Experience with HP Test Tools (Required) 6 Months
