Title: Network Engineer
Duration: 4 months; possible extension thereafter

Location: Atmore, AL - Primary location will be Atmore, AL but may write projects throughout Frontier in AL, GA, and TN. Some travel may be required.  Project related Travel expenses will be 100% reimbursed; no relocation or consultant personal travel to/from Atmore will be reimbursed.

Main Skills: 2-4 years experience as Transport Engineer is required. Adtran, Calix, Fujitsu, Optelian, BTI, Cisco, Canoga Perkins, and Actelis

Description:

Network Engineer – needs to know Adtran, Calix, Fujitsu, Optelian, BTI, Cisco, Canoga Perkins, and Actelis equipment
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Engineer and write data and transport projects for ADSL, VDSL, Ethernet, WDM, and fiber optic transport. Coordinate with operations and construction for installation. Equipment includes Adtran, Calix, Fujitsu, Optelian, BTI, Cisco, Canoga Perkins, and Actelis.

Responsibility level: Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor.

Additional Info: Determine requirements, design specifications, and write projects for network data and transmission projects.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in technical/engineering or a related field is preferred. 2-4 years experience as Transport Engineer is required.
