Job Specification:

Education: Any Graduate+

 

Technical Certifications (Preferred): Opsware, HP Operations orchestration/Service Now Run book Automation, O/s (Windows and/or any UNIX flavor). Preferred UNIX, Perl Scripting,

 

Experience: 6+ years of IT Experience in Windows/Unix System Administration.  The person needs to have sound experience on System Admin activities in either Wintel or Non-Wintel environment, preferred is Unix technologies, should have strong  scripting and debugging experience  in Perl and Shell Scripting The person needs to have performed OS Provisioning, Upgrades, performing System Admin activities like patch upgrades, service patch fixes, etc.  Experience in Backup, DR, maintaining high availability, would be added benefit.  Experience in Managing Large Production Environment, Automation Tools, databases will be added benefit. The person should have worked in a production environment managing servers and helping resolve system administration issues with good knowledge in Incident, Change and Problem Management cycle. The person should be able to create Perl expect modules using Perl scripting. Experience is writing scripts for performing server compliance audits will be an added benefit.

 

Critical Skills: Opsware Management Linux/Solaris System Administration, Scripting skills (Perl, Shell), Databases

Good English Communication and email skills, XML expertise, Database(Oracle and SQL)  management, Solaris Containers, Solaris LDOMS, LDAP, Web & Application Design, Basic understanding of v2.0 and v3.0 ITIL Process
