Job Description:

This position will evaluate user requests and determine how to implement the design, production or acquisition, testing, introduction and activation of software to effectively meet requirements. It also provides subsequent follow-up and customer support. Perform a variety of programming activities within area of expertise. Provide support for systems operations and assist in formulating and defining project scope and objectives. Pursue initiatives to improve effectiveness of the group and increase customer satisfaction. Typical duties/responsibilities: Investigate requirements and determine scope and objectives of project. Develop recommendations considering system capacity and limitations, operating time and desired results. Perform various information systems duties e.g. develop and maintain personal computer application programs and related databases and develop and maintain embedded device windows application programs. Prepare detailed specifications and provide appropriate user documentation. Prepare charts, diagrams, specifications and conduct related analyses. Provide technical support for such activities as installation of hardware and software, and related systems maintenance and modifications. Coordinate activities with other groups to cost-effectively meet schedules and ensure customer satisfaction. Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve problems, and suggest measures to prevent recurrence. Modify and maintain systems and recommend ways to increase operating effectiveness and control costs. Provide training and support to users. COMPLEXITY OF TASKS: Requires thorough understanding of information systems, principles, concepts and related practices. Requires ability to recognize and resolve problems while complying with schedules and customer requirements. Requires ability to communicate effectively on matters requiring explanation, clarification and resolution of problems. Errors typically result in minor loss of time or rework. SPECIAL SKILLS: ·         Experience with Totalflow equipment and support software is preferred. ·         Experience with embedded devices using Windows CE is preferred. ·         Experience with JavaScript, HTML5,  and CSS3 is preferred. ·         Experience with  SQL compliant database programming, and C++ is required TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, plus up to 5 years of experience. Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments. .
