Sr. Full Stack Developer

San Francisco, CA

Prefer contract-to-hireable US Citizens and Green Cards

Must have excellent communication skills

Through 12/31/2015 with extension into 2016 pending budget release in 4Q 2015

 

Job Requirement:

• Solid understanding of functional (FP) programming in Javascript using current design patterns/practices, especially as it applies to building flexible NodeJS and RESTful applications.

Deep hands-on knowledge of:

• JavaScript , NodeJS.
• Creating RESTful web services /APIs using Node.js with or without framework assistance (ie. Hapi)
• Experience with designing and using MongoDB and optimizing database structure for performance and/or maintainability and the ability to design and optimize queries.
• Use of API documentation frameworks such as Swagger
• Experience with source control, work item tracking, and build management with Git (or similar).
• Passion about building elegant, simple, and high-quality systems with software implementation best practices.
• Eagerness to learn and work outside your technology comfort zone.
• Ability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced startup-like environment

Preferred

• Build systems such as chef and maven
• Shell scripting and / or python
• Jenkins setup and deploy
• Front-end experience in AngularJS, HTML
• Object oriented programming

Possibility of contractor to full time conversion
