NEED MORE RESUMES: As per our assessment, we need somebody who has experience working with business stakeholders on building business information models/ semantic models. It seemed like Ramanan has less experience in this area

 

Job Description:

• Responsible for the fundamental organization of a system embodied in its components, their relationships to each other and to the environment, and the principles guiding its design and evolution.  
• Develops a logical semantic level data model building out the common business terms and key relationships for the data domains. 
• Show the link from the semantic data entities to physical implementation across our traditional data environments, 
• Hadoop ecosystem, and Cloud.  
• Goal is to create a useful tool to understand our data, how it's related, and where it's physically stored across the organization. 
• Expect this to help drive discussion for common business terms and opportunities to rationalize and simplify our data environment.  
• Will be expected to facilitate JAD sessions to determine data rules, and hold eviews with Data SMEs.  
• Applies and/or help set Capital One Data Naming Standards, checks models in and out of Model Repository (may include researching and recommending new tools for this type of modeling), and documents data model translation decisions.  
• Includes use of data profiling tools and techniques, and development of review and QA data requirements. 

Requirements: 

• 5+ years experience with Financial Services clients 
• Coordinating others work while involved with multiple work streams 
• Experience applying data modeling across traditional database environments, Hadoop ecosystem, and cloud 
• Viewed as an expert in multiple fields or disciplines. 
• Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. 
• Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. 
• Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. 
• Works on unusually complex technical or enterprise-wide problems and develops highly innovative solutions.  
• Works under consultative direction towards predetermined goals and objectives. 
• Logical Design Demonstrated experience with large scale, multiple business solutions across divisions or enterprise 
• Data Modeling Tools Demonstrated ability with more than three tools 
• Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling to cross functional groups and senior levels 
• Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges
