Data Custodian 
6 to 12 months

Title: Data Custodian

Summary: Data Custodian will be responsible for representing their technical expertise in their specific data domains, incorporating governance into daily activities, propose data changes, and communicates issues and questions through the issue and escalation procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Provide data governance knowledge to technical solutions, tools and processes for data management processes.
- Set, communicate, and implement technical practices and standards within a data domain
- Work in groups by domain area to monitor standards, practices, and processes
- Rationalize changes and assess impacts
- Identify, address and escalate data issues or opportunities to the appropriate governance body
- Identify technical changes and issues
- Participate in issue resolution
- Ensure appropriate compliance to corporate standards Role Requirements

Required:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in analyzing and/or managing data and information for operations and/or business intelligence purposes
- Experienced in data management and data governance processes
- Knowledge and experience in data governance framework (e.g. DAMA)
- Ability to comprehend, translate and balance technical needs against business needs
- Ability to quickly obtain a broad knowledge of business processes and supporting systems
- Ability to understand of data guidelines and technical architecture
- BA/BS in Business or Information Technology or equivalent experience

Preferred:
- Experience in the utilities space a plus
- Experience in SAP a plus
- DAMA or equivalent framework knowledge a plus
