Position Overview:
Great opportunity for an Oracle OBIEE/PL/SQL Developer! Our client is seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer who also has OBIEE report experience to add to our Warehouse/BI group. This position will work with others on the team in the development, implementation, support and enhancement of our OBIEE Reporting system. The developer in this role will utilize the knowledge of Hyperion System 9 and OBIEE to create effective reports for our customers, as well as support the Information System and our Technology Transition. This position also works closely with our Reporting and Data Architects, Business Analysts and ETL developers in the design and implementation of our warehouse and business intelligence solutions. This position requires experience working in an agile environment, with a passion for continuous improvement, efficiency, and excellence. Candidates for this position must be very effective working with others—including other technical resources, the business, QA, and management. Effective leadership and mentoring skills are a must. All candidates must possess excellent software development skills and experience.
Requirements:
Ø Work with business analysts to understand business requirements.
Ø Provide technical work estimates and task breakdown.
Ø Participate in peer code reviews and provide support to QA/Prod during the test/migration process.
Ø Support architecture efforts by following and adhering to the standards set forth by the Information Architecture group and maintain the integrity of the Warehouse/BI application architecture.
Ø Understanding of Data Modeling techniques and best practices
Ø Must have strong Oracle PL/SQL programming skills
Ø Data warehousing and Oracle 10g/11g experience is required
Ø Excellent communication skills
Ø In-depth knowledge of relational database design and database management systems
Ø Experience with OBIEE is required
Ø Experience with Hyperion 8/9 preferred
Ø Experience with projects involving conversion of large batch processes to PL-SQL is preferred
Ø Experience handling and managing large volumes of data (5000+ transactions / second). Should have experience with tuning high-volume applications for performance and instrumentation of code for tuning and monitoring
Ø Periodically be on-call to support Production application
Experience:
Ø In depth knowledge and experience with relational database design and database management systems (Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2 UDB etc.);
Ø Knowledge and experience with TOAD and PL/SQL programming.
Ø Understanding of Data Modeling techniques and best practices
Ø Oracle 10g/11g experience is required
Ø Must have strong Oracle PL/SQL programming skills
Ø Experience with UNIX Operating System
Ø Experience with projects involving conversion of large batch processes to PL/SQL
Ø Experience handling and managing large volumes of data (5000+ transaction / second). Should have experience with tuning high-volume near real-time applications for performance and instrumentation of code for tuning and monitoring.
Ø Experience working with OBIEE required
Ø Data warehousing experience a plus
