Here are the requirement details

 

Linux/SAN Storage Consultant

Location: Westborough

Duration: 6+ months

 

JD:

Must have skills:

1. 5+ years of experience managing Linux systems preferably in a clustered environment
2. Installation, configuration and administration of Linux kernel
3. Experience in managing SAN storage (EMC VNX storage is preferred) connected to server such as creating LUNs, RAID volumes, configuring multipathing etc.
4. Understands various tuning parameters available in Linux
5. Configuration of network interconnects such as Ethernet, infiniband
6. Understands IO stack in Linux kernel (SCSI/FC protocols)
7. Understands various error and event logging subsystems available in Linux environment
8. Troubleshooting the environment and capturing relevant logs
9. Scripting in Linux environment

 

Desired skills:

1. Understands High Performance Computing (HPC) environment that includes clustered nodes with shared storage and a highly parallel file system
2. Understands parallel distributed file systems (Lustre preferred)
3. Ability to run Linux kernel debugger and provide the required logs to the development team whenever the problem occurs
4. Performance tuning of HPC systems that includes benchmarking and characterization
5. Developing test strategy, test plan, test cases
