Sr. Systems Admin 

Contract

Position Overview:

1. Troubleshooting (KEY SKILL!!!)
a. Exceptional ability and demonstrated competence working from the identification of an error to the root cause, researching all layers of the network stack from the user interface to application code to database queries/calls to hardware performance and configuration.
b. Sys Internals
c. Perfmon
d. Task Manager

2. Software/Hardware Vendor Management
a. Manage primarily software and middleware vendors to ensure they follow through on commitment and follow up on problems identified.
b. This position will be the primary point of contact for 5-10 enterprise/corporate level applications. We manage the vendor contact on our customers' behalf--diligence, courteous doggedness, and diplomatic relationships are important (with both vendors and customers)

3. Server Engineer Management
a. Manage the relationship with Infrastructure service delivery. This position will know the applications and the users and how they use (or need to use) the application. Advise the Infrastructure group on server configuration, memory allocation, etc., to enable the application to operate efficiently.

4. Client
Session host, AKA Terminal Services on the server side

5. Remote Desktop Work
