Job Overview:
The Agile Coach will be responsible for working with business and IT teams across GE Fleet Services IT that is interested in exploring and implementing agile development methods. This position requires an experienced IT Process Architect/Coach with a strong understanding of and hands-on experience with Agile Methods, including Scrum. This individual will be responsible for the delivery of training and the coaching needed to transition traditional development teams to agile and to continue to mature existing agile teams. Scope of training and coaching includes team organization/self-management, Scrum, agile technical practices.

Positions in this function are involved in the development, communication and implementation of the organization's software engineering practices and software development methodologies. The focus of these particular positions is on agile development methods and practices. Responsibilities include partnering with business and IT on the implementation of an agile methodology framework, and training and coaching teams delivering solutions for all types of IT business architectures and IT platforms.

Successful candidate will also be responsible for:
• Assessing the maturity of agile delivery teams
• Partnering with key enterprise process owners to address issues that arise in the implementation of agile methodology across an enterprise that utilizes primarily traditional waterfall methodology for software development
.
Scope of Activities:
• Act as Scrum master for 1-3 scrum teams with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work.
• Assist the program and project manager(s) with keeping the backlog groomed
• Ensure cross-team coordination
• Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing
• Coach and mentor other scrum masters in our product team. Ensure that our ways of working are consistent across the teams.
• Liaise between the developers and User Experience/Visual Designers. Foster better communication between the disciplines.
• Strengthen our teams Agile practices. Actively contribute to the company's Agile and Lean Community.
• Provide instruction and training to software development teams in the area of agile software principles
• Ability to operate independently within established methodologies, procedures, and guidelines

Skills and Credentials:
• Certified scrum master/scrum trainer
• 8 or more years of direct experience in one or more aspects of Information Technology (Software design/ development, IT Architecture or other related IT areas)
• 2 or more years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master, Product Owner or member of an Agile delivery team, preferably in a variety of situations
• Hands-on experience as an Agile Lead or Agile Coach, preferably with large organizations
• Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong facilitation skills
• Strong Coaching and mentoring skills
• Ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous, fast paced environment where priorities shift rapidly
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to identify win-win solutions
• Strong Analysis skills
• Strong influence, collaboration, and negotiation skills
