Access Consultant

1 month contract

Minnetonka

*Must pass a background check once offered the position*

 

Access Contractor

Skills Required:	Yrs.
» Access	4-6 Yrs
» Microsoft Excel	4-6 Yrs
» VBA	4-6 Yrs

The Fulfillment project encompasses 3 interrelated Access databases – Publications, PO, and Print Intake (Project Initiation).

Publications – This db is used by CHA, SPP, and Commercial to define each document produced and distributed by the client. In addition to a description of the document, the database contains basic tracking capabilities – date sent to CMS, date approved by CMS, etc. This application mostly uses VBA.

Print Intake – This db is used by CHA and SPP to ask Fulfillment to order a specific document in a specific quantity. This db uses basic information about each document stored in the Publications db. This application mostly uses Macros.

PO – This db is used by the Fulfillment team to order printed material. This db takes the information provided by Print Intake, adds vendor, pricing and tracking information. This application mostly uses Macros with some VBA.

Contractor Skills:

Needs strong communication skills
- This person will not have a well-defined list of tasks. They will need to help figure out what is wanted and how to best accomplish it.
- They will need to be able to lead the discussion by asking probing questions. They will need good listening skills.
- They will need to know when to push back and when to accept user requests.
- They will need to be able to write clear program documentation.

Needs strong Access, Excel, and VBA skills
- Some of the reporting may be in Excel.
- They will need to know how to navigate between Macros and VBA
- They will need to decide when to use Macros, VBA, and Form/Report level controls.
