IT QA Analyst 
12 Month Contract

RESPONSIBILTIES:
Facilitate the testing of agreed upon software development standards and procedures to be followed throughout the SDLC.  Ensure that test cases exist and are executed for issues and functionalities to be promoted to production.  Demonstrate knowledge and experience in performing Software Quality Assurance and Control.  Coordinate between teams/business users. Develop and execute test cases/test plans/test strategy.  Responsible for Traceability matrix and documentation. Defect/Bug management.  Ability to analyze large sets of data in many formats. 
 
Qualifications:
•    Has expert knowledge of SQL, MS Access, and MS Excel
•    Has familiarity with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution
•    Has experience working in a variety of programming languages and environments including Java and other Object Oriented languages
•     xperience in Energy Industry, Accounting, Energy Trading and/or Risk applications a plus
•    Demonstrates success in delivering tested features on time, and to user specification
•    Has the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with customers
•    Demonstrates success in a cross-functional team environment and/or matrixed organization
•    Has Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Has BA/BS in Business, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
•    Demonstrates a passion for quality assurance of end-user applications
•    Has experience in diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues
•    Displays the ability to work at both a detailed and abstract levels
•    Displays the ability to develop automated custom QA solutions where possible
•    Demonstrates the ability to solve problems creatively
•    Excellent SQL skills
•    Excellent Excel skills (table/data manipulation, power pivot, formulas)
•    Shows the willingness and ability to create and adapt to new technologies
•    Has the ability to launch small QA/QC projects and follow through to completion with some supervision.
•    Shows a desire to solve real problems for real users in a business environment
•    Possesses working knowledge of some or all of the following quality assurance methods: unit, integration, regression, user interface automated testing.
•    Has at least 7 to 10 years of experience in performing testing and maintaining the quality of a complex software product
