| | Project: Data Warehouse Team, supporting various projects that need the development and maintenance of OLAP cubes.
Required Technical Skills:
* Data Warehouse SME with proven track record of leading and mentoring others.
* Must have excellent verbal and written skills, will be interfacing with Executive Management for this position.
* At least 4-5 years of development experience in OLAP Cubes, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS.
* At least 4-5 years of experience in OLAP cube design and implementation for large terabyte size data warehousing installations.
* In depth understanding of Microsoft Query through Excel for accessing OLAP Cubes.
* Working knowledge of SQL Server 2008 or newer.
* Communicates and presents effectively, ensuring that messages are suited to audience needs.
* Experience with documenting the design and code/programming used, event response for production support issues, Unit Test Plans, Code Reviews and issues, and code walkthroughs.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others.
* Excellent organization skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignment simultaneously.
* Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to find successful resolutions for moderate to complex issues, escalating those that require management involvement, when necessary.
* Education: four-year university degree in Computer Science preferred.
Required Experience and Job Duties:
* Must have experience in developing/maintaining OLAP Cubes.
* Experience with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS.
* Experience in providing guidance to others with regard to technical projects, systems enhancements and defect fixes.
* Must be able to assist others in the steps involved in the life cycle of software development.
* Ensures code quality by coaching and reviewing the work of other developers, which could include conducting code walk throughs.
* Creates and executes unit test plans, which could include integration, performance and systems testing.
* Experience with preparing presentations and/or documents for review by management and aligned business people.
* Has the ability to work in a team-oriented environment and independently organize work resources from current team or other teams to solve technical problems.
* Have the ability to consider technical decisions as part of a multidimensional problem, balancing standards, principles, project management disciplines (time, cost, schedules), team norms (consultation, decision-making, communication) and process. | |
