Location: Chicago, IL

Position Description:

 

Objective:

·         Convert disparate project builds that utilize RAD to a standard build, manages dependencies using enterprise build repositories, scans code for quality, etc.

Responsibilities:

·         Coordinate environment specification, installation, configuration (including user security), and technical shakedown testing, to replicate MEDecision Alineo functionality in read-only mode for new Internet-based users under Government Programs.

·         Environment configuration and buildout (Unix, Windows, WebSphere, WMQ); application build and deployment (build scripting for Unix, source code repository content management [Serena, RTC and CVS], Java application troubleshooting, WebSphere configuration, environment troubleshooting in Unix and Windows)

·         Setting up unit test environments, setting up deployment environments and integrating various disparate tools.

 

Skills Required:

·         Proficient in J2EE, EJB, JSP, Servlet, JavaScript, Ajax, XML Components, JDBC, SQL & Web Services, Java 5

·         Proven experience as a Sr. role on application teams with good problem solving, debugging & troubleshooting Skills.

·         Be able to automate deployment of Code in Java/J2ee Environments

·         Very experienced in developing ant scripts, Shell scripts, Cron Jobs

·         Hands on experience with AIX/Unix - Configure, debug & troubleshoot issues.

·         Experience in troubleshooting issues in a clustered WAS environment.

·         Experience in identifying root causes of memory issues, Java core dumps etc..

·         Proficient in configuration and maintenance within WebSphere Application Server

·         At least 3 years of development experience in Java J2EE technologies

·         Experienced in configuring MQ Queues and JMS listeners.

·         Experience with RAD 6.0/7.0

·         Excellent Communication and co-ordination skills.

·         Have experience as a Build Master, Production ticket handling (assignment, tracking, resolving, communicating  information to requestor following resolution, if needed), Coordinating Production Releases, and communication with the Business Users.
