Role: Automation QA

Location: Maple Grove, MN {LOCALS}

Duration: 6+ Months

 

I currently have an immediate need for an automation QA resource. This resource MUST be local here to MN. Looking for someone to have at least 6 years of Automation experience.  

 

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work closely with the software developers through the defect lifecycle, from discovery to defect verification
• Benefit projects in a small team of resources, and being an active contributor to the workload
• Designing and implementing test plans, evaluation test plans and test cases scenarios to ensure product requirements are met
• Designing, setting up, configuring, and maintaining software testing environments
• Writing and executing automated and manual tests
• Establish and document continued process improvements, product test requirements
• Reporting and managing issues through formal bug tracking system (e.g. Jira)

 

Required Qualifications

·         Post high school education, preferably in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field

• 3+ years experience in QA, designing and implementing regression, system test plans and test cases, using software test tools, scripting languages on large scale projects
• Experience with capturing test metrics for code coverage and release decisions
• Proven experience with standard bug reporting tools such as: JIRA, GitHub

·         Proven experience with test tools such as:  REST clients, API, HTTP

• Experience with capturing test metrics for code coverage and release decisions
• Detail oriented with strong analytic and problem solving capabilities
• Great people skills, including the ability to collaborate successfully with team members from various functions
• Ability to multi-task, perform under pressure and meet deadlines

·         Proven experience working with Agile methodologies for delivering software

·         Strong oral and written communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field

·         Education or Assessment related experience

·         Environment tools: JIRA, GitHub, Apache, Mongo, Ruby, VirtualBox, Spring

·         Test tools: cURL, The Grinder, REST clients, Jython/Python, Ruby, API's, HTTP, Mongo
