Sr. Java Developer

Location: Palo Alto, CA.

Duration: (12 Months Contract) with possibility of extension

Required Skills:

JAVA/Tool Expert

Musts:

·         In-depth knowledge of Java and J2EE environments.

·         Hands on any high level design or architectural design in enterprise world.

·         Recent experience on REST web services, which is our main mode of interaction.

·         Good to have technologies like HTML, CSS3, Java Script, AJAX, open java, Multi-threading etc.

·         Five or more years' experience writing code using languages such as (and not limited to), Java, C#, VB.Net. Advanced ability to work with Web-development tools for new applications.

·         Linux Operating environment

·         Experience on JAAS and https web service calls. Experience working with Apache Maven & Apache Ant.

·         Knowledge on Jetty and Tomcat webservers.

·         Advanced understanding of modern software design and development methodologies Experience on multiple full release project life cycles. Advanced understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).  

·         Advanced understanding of testing tools and unit test and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies. 

·         Advanced experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Aptana, and Visual Studio) and development of tool add-ins like Ganymed SSH2, JAXP etc.  

·         Able to define quality and security standards. Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills. 

·         Ability to work effectively in a globally dispersed team.

Desired:

Experience with the Proliant x86 product lines.

Experience with Open Source development: Ruby, PHP, Python, etc.

Database Tuning Experience

C/C++ development experience

 Education and Experience Required:

 9 years' experience. Bachelor's or Master's (graduate) degree in Computer Science or related discipline
