Role: Sr SQL Developer

Location: Yuba City, CA

Description :

- A leading e-commerce provider is looking to expand their team with a strong SQL Server developer with the following responsibilities: - Develop/maintain and support database schemas

- Support developers (Web and Database)

- Query optimization and index tuning

- Design and document database architecture

- Evaluate and recommend new database technologies

- Implement and maintain solutions to monitor database systems

- Supporting high availability database (24/7/365 operation)

- Setup and maintain working DR locations, with near real-time data synchronization

 

Required Skills and Experience:

- 7+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Windows OS - Experience with system administration and architecture - Knowledge of database design standards

- Experience in Windows and Linux operating systems preferred

- 5+yrs experience stored procedure programming - Knowledge of SQL Server too Log Outls ( Profiler, DTA, SSMS, SAC, SSCM, PerfMon, DMVs, system sprocs)

- Strong knowledge of indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching. How statistics work, how indexes are stored, how they can be created and managed effectively.

- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.

- Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention issues.

- Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, clustering, database mirroring, replication. - Experience with Postgress will be a plus - Strong communication skills - written and oral
