Job Title: Cool Gen Consultant

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 6-12 months

 

 Role description:

Ø  Analyze, design, build and test changes to CA GEN based application for one or more of the following functional areas: Provider, Member, Claims Processing, Payments.

Ø  Record test results in test management system and resolve identified defects as assigned.

Ø  Perform post-deployment verification per deployment procedures.

Ø  Demonstrate working knowledge of appropriate programming languages and tools for supported systems.

Ø  Utilize document management system to maintain documentation.

Ø  Peer review work done by other team members.

Ø  Adhere to applicable process standards.

Ø  Utilize change management system to version code changes and follow approved change management processes.

Ø  Provide realistic estimates of own work.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Ø  At least 2 years full life-cycle development experience for applications using CA:GEN (CoolGen) 6.5 and above

Ø  At least 2 years experience with object oriented programming

Ø  Experience with CA:GEN target Implementation for HP/Tandem NSK platform.

Ø  Exposure OLAP Reporting Tools (i.e. Bus Objects)

Ø  Experience writing SQL and working with databases

Ø  Experience working in a team environment

Ø  Documentation experience using Visio & Word

 

Preferred skills:

Ø  Experience with C and SQL on HP/Tandem NSK platform

Ø  Experience with TACL, Inspect tools for HP/Tandem NSK platform.

Ø  Experience CA:GEN target implementation for Java on Wintel platform

Ø  Medicaid application experience in financial and claims processing systems.

Ø  Quality Center, Serena or similar test and configuration management tools

 

Professional Skill:

Ø  Ability to work independently as a team member

Ø  Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Ø  Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

Ø  Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards the tasks at hand
