Title: Web developer
Location : Ramsey ,NJ
Duration : 6 months
Rate : $50/hr
Web Developer:
Will be working on a consumer facing website which facilitates lead generation to the 160 store locations.
As web developer in the Online team, you will support the Senior Web Developer in all aspects of website design and development.
The candidate will understand requirements, understand current business functionalities, explore alternatives, and then work on design and
development of the proposed solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop online national campaign landing pages and coordinate banner creative;
Maintain and improve website design and development;
Use creativity and a high degree of technical and professional judgment in order to resolve design and technical challenges;
Understand functional requirements and what is needed to build the required website(s);
Keep development lead informed about the status of day-to-day activities of the project;
Provide progress status reports, problem reports or reports on any issues pertaining to the projects to the team lead;
Participate in periodic code-reviews to ensure high quality;
Maintain an understanding of existing and emerging Internet and Web technologies;
Website debugging and testing;
Education and Skills Required:
Drupal Development, PHP, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, Front-End Development, Back-End Development, Drupal API, MySQL, Command Line, Drupal Commerce, Theming, - version 7
Bachelor degree in Information Systems or related or equivalent experience;
Understanding of background in technologies such as client/server, relational database management systems, object-oriented development, UML Modeling, and distributed object development;
2+ years programming and/or systems analysis experience;
Sound knowledge and understanding of HTML and CSS;
Demonstrated knowledge of web standards and guidelines (ie. W3C, UX, Accessibility, etc);
Previous experience providing program design and system development services on retail or B2B websites is required;
Effective communication skills and must be comfortable working both autonomously at times or within a team;
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify/define business rules and implement transformation logic necessary to move data;
What you'll be doing:
Working alongside our web development team to develop our new internal facing website using Drupal
Using Drupal in creative ways to make our courses unique and fun
Developing clean codes and utilizing best practices in a positive, fun and face paced environment
