The successful candidate will lead and participate as part of a team of internal and sometimes external stakeholders to analyze, document, and validate business functional, non-functional, and project requirements, including documentation of the difference between existing and future processes and data. Leads and participates in the scope breakdown of the project from goals/objectives to requirements and needs. Develops process, data flows and business rules, as necessary. Participates in and ensures effective quality management from requirements through implementation.  Analyzes alternatives, pros, cons, risks, and issues where relevant.

 

·       Determines impact of requirements on business and technology processes and data, products, applications, forms, communications, marketing materials, web content, etc. Works with business partners to ensure appropriate project communications and transition to business as usual.

·       Works with other departments, including Technology, to review business, user and systems requirements, process or systems design, build, test, implementation plans and post-implementation validation plans to ensure that the business requirements are fully and successfully implemented with known impacts to processes, systems, and data.

·       Leads and participates in user acceptance, regression and error testing. Develops test plans, approaches, test bed requirements, test data requirements, test cases, expected and actual test results, validation strategies, environmental needs, completion criteria and problem tracking reports to ensure requirements are fully implemented and do not inadvertently impact existing processes.

·       Analyzes documents, resolves and mitigates risks, assumptions, issues, decisions and open questions, analyzes to ensure project success. Escalates to appropriate managers, when appropriate.

·       Develops and maintains effective relationship management with departments participating on team as well as stakeholders.

·       Provides input to project plans (tasks, estimates, resource needs, interdependencies, etc.), risk assessment, cost/benefit analysis, assessments, etc.

·       Leads and facilitates project team meetings.

·       Manages change control by baselining requirements and tracks requirements changes and impacts to cost, scope and schedule.

·       Creates project life cycle documentation using Ameriprise methodologies and tools (business requirements, user requirements, system requirements, design, build, testing (unit, system, integration, volume, regression, user acceptance, and parallel testing), conversion, implementation, post-implementation).

 

·       Works with other stakeholder groups to ensure effective requirements and participation including service, compliance, legal, marketing, field organization and technology, etc.

·       Role may be expanded or concentrated by project management or other lead BAs based on project needs.

·       5+ Years Of Experience In Business Analysis

·       5+ Years Of Business Systems Testing Experience

·       5+ Years Of Experience In Financial Services In an analytical role with preference for project and financial management systems experience

·       Bachelor's Degree Preferred

 

·       Strong results-orientation with balance in relationship management

·       Team leadership expertise (work, role, and process definition)

·       Relationship management expertise

·       Facilitation and presentation expertise

·       Effective verbal and written communications skills

·       Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
