A few key elements of the architecture include:

·       The architecture fully leverages the core of HTTP and can be summarized as "a web site without a UI".

·       The entire process is implemented as a workflow.

·       Workflow steps are communicated to the client in real-time, removing the need for the client to contain any of this logic.

·       Input requirements and validation rules are also provided real-time via a standard JSON or XML Schema as desired by the client.

·       All domain logic and business rules reside within the API itself.

·       Client requirements are minimal, limited to understanding a standard integration pattern and any desired template display logic

 

The project uses an Agile methodology, with development and testing occurring within one week iterations. The server-side technology stack is LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and heavily utilizes Symfony and Doctrine. The primarily client is built using HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
