Title : SSIS Developer
Senior Database Engineer
The Senior Database Engineer's role is to design, develop, implement, and support database solutions. This position will function in the software development team primarily as a database application developer, focusing on projects with varying levels of complexity, visibility, and risk. As a member of a small and focused Database Team, you will be required to perform various duties which include ETL automation, reporting, and the design, development, and maintenance of large, complex OLTP SQL Server databases.
Operational Management
* Develop, enhance and maintain the existing SSRS reports, report definitions and dashboards
* Build database models, dashboards, reports, interfaces for BI packages
* Design, build and implement data marts and data warehouse
* Develop ETL packages using SSIS for integration projects
* Assist users with problems and resolve issues independently
* Create test plans, test cases, test scripts and performs testing of the BI and related environments
* Provide ongoing support of existing BI implementations
* Plan and organize tasks, reports progress to manager
* Provide ongoing support of existing report packages including further automating report items and incorporating to larger BI architecture
Experience Required:
* 5-7 years of relational database development and support experience using MS SQL/Oracle
* Expert in database programming (T-SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, functions)
* Accomplished ETL developer using SSIS, Information, Oracle Data Integrator, or equivalent
* Must be well versed in advanced query development and design using SQL
* Must be well versed with dimensional data modeling and the construction of ETL routines for application modules in one or more of the following realms: financials, supply chain, manufacturing, and point of sales systems
* Must have experience with the Microsoft SQL Server technology suite including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
* Experience and understanding of master data management (MDM) concepts and application to enterprise architecture
* Strong database administration experience, including experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery, and partitioning
* Expertise in dimensional modeling, OLAP, applications and data warehousing
* Hands on experience in at least one object oriented programming language (C#, Java)
* Strong database administration experience, including performance tuning, backup/recovery, and partitioning
* Experience with web services integration architectures including SOAP and REST, a plus
* Experience with cloud database offerings, a plus
* Experience with XML development and design including XML Schema, and XSLT are a plus
* Prior experience in consulting, a plus

Formal Education & Certification

* Degree of formal training in Finance, a plus
* Database certifications are a plus
