Sybase DBA

I do not have a location for this Sybase DBA , that is way need to be open to anywhere in USA and will come home each weekend on Thursday 

IPsec VPN: Juniper ISG/SSG (ScreenOS), Check Point NGX, Cisco routers and ASA

platforms. VPN expertise must include both B-to-B and user based tunnel. Prospective

engineer is expected to configure and troubleshoot the equipment using CLI

SSL VPN: Juniper Secure Access platform

IPS and IDS: Juniper IDP, ISS, McAfee Intrushield

Application Firewall: F5 Application Security Manager (ASM), Apache ModSecurity,

Check Point SmartDefense

Rate: $45.00 hourly Plus expenses

 

Please note, since I do not yet have the location, it is imperative that any candidates that you submit, are willing to work anywhere in the USA!  Typically resources are expected to work onsite

 

Mon-Thurs, travel home on Thursday night, and work remotely on Fridays….

 

1.       Ability to install Sybase Replication Server software and 15.7 experience.

2.       Experience with executing rsinit to establish connections/routes between ASEs and REP.

3.       Knowledge and experience in setting up table level replication.

a.       Experience with creating replication objects (replication definitions, subscriptions).

b.      Experience with steps needed to ensure data is in sync.

4.       Ability to performance tune and troubleshoot the replication agent and replication server.

5.       Ability to troubleshoot problems/issues with connection down or data out of sync situations.

6.       Knowledge of monitors and counter information and/or mda data related to rep agent and rep server.

7.       Familiarity with OpenSwitch and have the ability to provide input into the coding of the Coordination Module.
