Position:  Data Modeler/ Data Scientist

Location: Dallas, TX or Palo Alto, CA

 

Responsibilities:

•        Strong oral & written communication skills (client facing role)

•        Strong business acumen paired with the ability to communicate findings to business issues in a way that influences decision making.

•        Ability to prioritize efforts and analysis to address most critical business issues first

•        Data fluency – strong ability to understand, analyze, and link data across operational systems, data warehouses, and unstructured data stores

•        Strong understanding of statistical techniques and concepts such as: predictive modeling, regression analysis, bias versus variance, parametric/non-parametric tests for significance.  Ability to apply these models to real business issues ideal

•        Experience in predictive modeling to support risk, fraud, collections, credit lines, marketing strategies customer segmentation and propensity modeling experience desired

•        8+ years experience SQL / PL SQL experience required.

•        4+ yrs experience data mining large databases required

•        Experience with the Hadoop platform required

•        Masters degree strongly preferred.  Specializations of Math, Economics or Statistics is preferred.

•        Telco experience preferred
