Experience Range · Essential – must have · Preferred – nice to have | Essential Experience Ø Min 8 years of business analysis experience in US Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, of which minimum of 3 years in US P&C Commercial insurance Ø Experience of Underwriting processes for US P&C Commercial insurance (as an Underwriter or as a Business Analyst) Ø Experience in leading business discussions, business case preparation & presentation, business requirements gathering, documentation & analysis
Preferred Experience Ø 5+ years of business analysis experience in US P&C Commercial insurance Ø Experience with US P&C Commercial ISO lines Ø US P&C Insurance package implementation preferred |
Skillset · Essential – must have · Preferred – nice to have | Essential Skills Ø Good understanding of US P&C Commercial insurance products & underwriting process Ø Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, good articulation & documentation, good analytical capabilities Ø Eliciting, documenting & reviewing business requirements using industry standard requirements documentation tools and techniques Ø Good knowledge of complete project life cycle Ø Hands-on experience in interacting & influencing business users, SMEs and program stakeholders Ø Ability to work with global teams, managing good communication channel & supporting development and testing efforts Ø Availability to travel (domestic US) at short notice
Preferred Skills Ø Good understanding of US P&C commercial insurance market - offerings, complexities & challenges Ø US P&C ISO insurance standards knowledge – Commercial ISO Lines (Property, General Liability, Auto, Inland Marine, Crime, Excess, Umbrella, Workers Compensation), forms, coverages, rating Ø US P&C Insurance ACORD standards knowledge Ø Good understanding of US P&C insurance business processes (underwriting, claims, billing, finance, reinsurance, marketing & associated technology deployment) Ø Ability to lead requirement work streams and manage BA teams on different projects Ø Relevant industry certifications preferred – CPCU, AINS, others |
Job Description | Ø Will join as a Sr Business Analyst for a US based P&C Commercial Lines insurer, participating in a complex Policy administration system replacement Ø Work with the Underwriting SMEs from business units eliciting the product and process specification requirements, forms and reporting requirements Ø Work in larger teams conducting user interviews & eliciting requirements, performing documentation reviews, recommending best practices and process optimization opportunities Ø Will communicate with business users through emails or phone, or if need be, visit the respective business unit sites for requirements collection and discussion Ø Act as liaison between business users & development / testing teams to develop and implement the new system Ø Assist in test plan reviews, design reviews, functional and system testing Ø As a Business Analyst, assist project manager in scope definition and engagement execution |
