Short Description:

Seeking a developer with strong data modeling (Dimensional & Normalized) and database development and integration skills with strong T-SQL experience. 

 

Complete Description:

This individual will take on the responsibility of analyzing data in an operational system, identifying and modeling different subject areas, creating 3NF/Dimensional Models, profiling the data, source to target mapping for data marts, assisting in the ETL development and testing and validating the completeness and accuracy of the ETL process. Will need to be involved in database administration, profiling, and database performance tuning using SQL Server toolset. Among the aforementioned skills, advanced T-SQL skills are required including data aggregation, pivoting, un-pivoting, views, stored procedures, CDC and user-defined functions. The individual must possess strong data analytical skills to improve the BI team's knowledge base of the operational system. Some of this will require interacting with the business to gain a better understanding of the data. A required qualification would be for this person to have strong experience in conceptual, logical and physical modeling (3NF and Dimensional Modeling) .

Data Warehousing/Datamarts: 4 years

Dimensional & Normalized Modeling: 4 years

Data Modeling (conceptual, logical & Physical) using Power Designer: 4 years

T-SQL programming in MS SQL 2005/2008: 4 years

Data analysis/data profiling/development: 2 years

MS SQL 2005/2008/2012: 5 years

SQL Server Integration Services: 2 years

Excellent Communication Skills: 2 years

 

Nice to Have:

AS400/DB2: 2 years

Experience in Healthcare: 2 years

Business Object Data Services: 2 years

Agile Project Experience: 1 year
