Web Performance Analyst

10+ Month Contract

*upon offer, candidates must complete background check and drug test*

 

Assignment Responsibilities & Tasks:

·         Define & track performance metrics to achieve goals set for Target.com and Mobile guest experience

·         Ensure proper tools, techniques, and methodologies are applied throughout the front end performance test cycle

·         Analyze business requirements & system requirements as part of a project team

·         Identify and thoroughly analyze defects, issues, risks, and action items

·         Partner with development and business teams to prioritize performance defects

·         Represent and advocate front end performance perspectives in cross functional team meetings

·         Identify lessons learned and adjust efforts as appropriate

·         Provide status reports to Manager

 

Skills Required:

·         Expert level knowledge of best practices for front end web performance

·         Must possess a broad range of technical knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, DOM, CSS, content management, caching)

·         Ability to read and write HTML, JavaScript & CSS, dissect a web page and analyze the performance of its individual components

·         Familiarity with the Jira bug tracking tool or similar enterprise tool

·         Highly organized with great attention to detail.

·         Experience with various browser plug-ins used to measure performance such as Firebug, YSlow and DynaTrace

·         Experience with industry standard website performance monitoring tools such as Gomez and Keynote

·         Strong communication and presentation skills

·         The ability to successfully, professionally, and diplomatically interact with others and develop relationships with partners at various levels throughout the organization

·         In depth knowledge of W3C Navigation Timing

·         Highly self-motivated and self-sufficient.

·         Creative out-of-the-box thinker.

·         Proven track record in working within a geographically distributed, cross-functional team environment to drive results.

·         Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities.

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.

·         Ability to absorb information quickly and see initiatives through to completion on schedule
