This position will be dedicated to C# development for the project to create a Web version of the existing Appeals Resolution Tracking System (ARTS). The Department's C# development group will perform business process analysis and document these in order to convert the existing Windows application into a state-of-the-art web application that meets OIR distributed software requirements for server consolidation, OIR and Federal Section 508 usability standards for the disabled, software industry best practices, and new Department C# development standards. This will speed processing, enforce uniformity in the way appeals are processed, and improve data integrity. Currently, workarounds and manual processes are being used until a web version can be developed.
Develop stored procedures to retrieve data from SQL Server Database (Version 2008).
Develop and support web architecture using C# (2008) and Visual Studio (2010) products.
Writing test plans for developed code and working with QA and UAT staff to test and resolve any issues.
Deploying versions of the ARTS application to the database and web servers for each of the environments, including development, QA, UAT, Training and Production
| Basic Skills Required Requires a minimum of 3 years' experience programming in.NET environment within the last 5 Experience must include providing senior technical leadership, guidance, and support in the design, development, and deployment of complex applications in distributed computing environments 3 years within the last 5 Experience must include coordinating with other architectural and technical staffs for providing input into technical decisions affecting specific projects ; 3 years within the last 5 Experience must include use of current application architecture design and development concepts, methodologies, and tools resulting in quality, stable, and maintainable computer software; 3 years within the last 5 Experience preparing required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation ;3 years within the last 5 Troubleshoots and enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency ; 3 years within the last 5 |
