Liferay Developer

3+ Months

 

We are in need of a Senior Liferay Developer to work on Global Employee Hub – the global, shared, cohesive and holistic intranet site where all employees will connect easily with people, information and tools they need and want to better serve customers and themselves.

 

Description of Responsibilities:

·       In this role, you will be a critical member of the team building BestBuy's next generation intranet and collaboration platform.  Critical skills for success include an deep knowledge of building an application to run on a scalable platform (Liferay) in an agile environment.

 

Description of Skills:

MUST HAVE

•             Minimum 2 years development on Liferay

•             Minimum 4 years developing Portal applications and Portlets using Java/Spring applications

•             Strong background in an Agile development environment

•             Comfort level using Linux, JBoss, Oracle, and GitHub

•             Experience using a service-oriented architecture

NICE TO HAVE

•             Development (or regular use) of social media applications

•             Test Driven Development (TDD)

•             Experience working in a fast paced environment

•             Unit testing frameworks (JUnit in particular)

•             Object Oriented Programming and Service Oriented Architecture design
