Title: Sr. Server Engineer OR Quality Engineer

Location: San Jose CA

Duration: 6 months

 

Required Skills:

System QE has an opening for an engineer with server performance testing experience.

Extensive Experience / Expertise with:

• Testing high availability web services and sites (performance and load testing)
• Multi-tier architectures
• High volume, large client count infrastructures
• HTTP Capture and playback tools and technologies
• Java, Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, Memcache – throughput, configuration, bottleneck analysis
• Monitoring and Analysis tools and frameworks
• Automation (Java, Perl)
• Server test framework - creating baseline data sets, being able to get the system to a known baseline state, capturing and reporting test results, etc.
• Product experience – Server Performance analysis tools, Monitoring tools, and HTTP and Network Capture tools

Proven ability to:

• Model testable load scenarios
• Design test scripts
• Document and report on requirements
• Identify and test for limitations on a per-transaction or per-operation basis
• Usage of industry standard load testing tools

·         B.S.C.S. required. M.S.C.S preferred.
