Duration: 2 Years

 

"Position Summary: Solution Architect (Sharepoint) - Houston, TX
The individual will be part of the team that regulates and governs the SharePoint landscape (as an application platform) with a specific customer. As a Solution Architect the individual will provide technical guidance and solutions to the teams developing applications on SharePoint 2010. The individual will be interacting with other architects and key stakeholders and make sure the applications developed on SharePoint fill fit the future IT roadmap of the customer. The individual will contribute to the architectural community by coming-up with guidelines / reference documents and re-usable components. The individual will be reviewing the design, code & customizations of the SharePoint 2010 applications. As part of the reviews the individual will check if the application meets the guidelines and best practices defined by the SharePoint service. The individual will contribute to the vision or strategy as to how SharePoint 2010 will be used for developing applications. The individual will act as a trusted advisor for decisions related to SharePoint 2010.

Skills and Experience:
• Ability to Analyze complex Business and Process Flows, generate alternatives, and identify the best technical solution(s)
• Hands-on experience with SharePoint 2010
• Hands-on experience with designing & developing applications on SharePoint technologies
• Very good in Architectural principles
• Very good in transforming isolated events into models / frameworks
• Ability to perform Architecture/Design/Code reviews
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Technologies
• Good knowledge of Integration architecture
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• 8-9 years of experience. At least 4+ years in SharePoint Architecture and designing SharePoint applications.
