- Typically assigned project responsibility for highly sophisticated, complex integrated systems.
- Projects are major in scope and require the application of advanced subject matter expertise to resolve diverse problems that cannot be solved at lower levels.
- Problems frequently lack precedent or standards and involve analysis of varied and sometimes conflicting data.
- Normally receives minimal instructions on recurrent work assignments and only general instructions on new or more complex assignments.
- Decisions are made independently and affect the work of others.
- Provides technical guidance to lower level staff and may lead a project team(s).
- Contact is typically advisory in nature and involves both the exchange of detailed/technical information and providing advice to clients on how to proceed regarding an issue or business problem, typically deals with middle or senior levels of management and/or external equivalents.
- Resource needs to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in job-related functional area and of the business.
Major Responsibilities:
- Researches and understands the business and functional requirements for a product, including business process flow, system functionality and performance criteria and shares knowledge with Quality Assurance team members.
- T and M will participate in reviews of technical Software Development Lifecycle artifacts, program schedules and program budgetary status.
- Directs and/or performs complex test strategy development, planning, design, maintenance, scheduling, assignment, and tracking of large program test documentation or on multiple smaller programs.
- Will oversees planning, design, maintenance and execution of test plans for junior members of the Quality Assurance team to ensure thoroughness and accuracy of results.
- Leads quality control\test teams or efforts to ensure product meets defined specifications, assures test execution and validation aligns with specifications.
- Performs analysis and provides detail recommendations and implementation plans for Quality Assurance process and productivity improvements as well as for improvements for other Life Cycle Development phases impacting Quality Assurance overall results.
- Responsible for planning and overseeing the testing of large complex projects that span across numerous IT systems and organizations using a matrix
team of testers, developers, business analysts, and marketing representatives.
Required Skills:
- Project Management or Lead experience, Testing Experience, MS Office Products, Quality Assurance experience and technical skills required.
- XML skills used often supporting this role, a minimum of 5 years testing environment with familiarity with HP Quality Center.
- Must be self driven, with strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
- BA required or equivalent experience required.
Desired skills:
- In depth understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
- Abreast of industry best practices and methodologies.
- General analytical skills.
- Highly skilled in research, project planning and implementation.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. ET with occasional out of hours due to needs of the business.
