We are seeking a User Interface Engineer to be part of a growing team working on a cutting edge Q&A platform. We operate a high traffic website that is deeply integrated with big-name partners. In this fast-paced environment, the team works with Product, QA, Operations, and Analytics to meet business needs. This position is a chance to join a highly-collaborative agile team breaking new ground in the medical information industry. With new and challenging tasks each day, there is much room for growth in your domain knowledge and your career.

 

An ideal candidate will be comfortable working on any platform (Windows, Mac, Linux), and be familiar with cloud deployment. The candidate should excel in front-end, HTML/JavaScript/CSS development, and be able to follow requirements documents while voicing his/her opinions on possible improvements and innovations.

 

Specific Responsibilities

•           Assume a role on the development team in an agile development environment

•           Plan functional solutions to complex designs that conform to company standards

•           Implement front-end solutions based on requirements documents using best-practices approaches

•           Implement dynamic UIs using HTML, CSS, Ajax and jQuery

•           Create modular reusable interface components utilizing progressive enhancement

•           Exhibit a passion for clean, cutting-edge solutions

•           Familiarity with integrating solutions into JSPs, ASPs, and/or PHP applications

•           Integration experience with 3rd party tools including Facebook, Google, and Twitter

•           Cross-browser and cross-platform development experience.

•           Development of 3rd party email and blog templates

 

Qualifications

•           Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field

•           Strong front-end skills in HTML/CSS/JavaScript

•           Experience with JQuery

•           Understanding of OO principles and SDLC

•           Strong knowledge of Ajax principles and best-practices

•           Familiarity with basic operations in Linux

•           Knowledge and experience working in the cloud (specifically using AWS)

•           Knowledge or experience in Wordpress

•           Knowledge or experience with 3rd party email solutions.
