Job Title: Functional Test Engineer
Location: Moorestown, NJ
Duration: Till November 2012
Skill Set/Job Requirements
• Create and execute test plans and test cases using HP Quality Center
• Experience in developing test plans, executing test cases, tracking test progress, evaluating results, and triaging defects
• Knowledge of software development life cycle with a strong knowledge of test process, test design, test automation, and test project management activities
• Ability to access, read, and interpret application log files and database queries/reports
• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with test engineers, product engineers, project managers, developers, business analysts, and operations teams
• Demonstrated flexibility to meet aggressive timelines generally associated with testing activities (including occasional off hours and weekend support)
• Needs to be able to independently analyze test results and be confident making decisions and recommendations
Must have hands-on testing experience preferred but general understanding of one or more of the following concepts:
• Microsoft Exchange Server, SQL Server, administration, and installation
• Email protocols (MAPI, IMAP, POP, SMTP) and/or email security, anti-abuse technologies
• HMC (Hosted Messaging and Collaboration) technologies such as Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint
• Web hosting, domain management, account provisioning, order management, billing, trouble ticket management, service assurance
• Voice call features, voicemail, call records
• Performance testing experience (designed, built and executed performance tests for both browser and non-browser applications)
o Ability to analyze performance test results to identify the root cause of performance issues and bottlenecks as well as provide recommendations for remediation
o Associated hands-of Load Runner experience is ideal for this area of support.
§ Development and execution of scripts.
Bonus if we could get someone with the following (in addition to above):
• VOIP
• Video Over IP
o IMS experience ideal, given the current focus on this platform as our next gen voice solution.
• BSS experience
o Understanding of service delivery platform and E2E provisioning of accounts.
• DOCSIS / DSG
• Oracle / LDAP or any other DB experience
• In depth knowledge of IP / Network protocols
• QTP automation (development) experience is a MUST HAVE
