Java web Developer
Location: Knoxville, TN
Duration: 6+months


We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our web applications development team in Knoxville.  This individual will work directly with the development team on building and maintaining applications and high traffic web sites.  The desired candidate will be experienced with Java, SQL, and a strong background with Scripting Languages such as PHP, PERL, TCL, or Groovy.  Experience with high availability and high traffic sites or applications is preferred.  Must be willing to work in a dynamic environment and too a deadline.

Responsibilities
•    Troubleshooting  and resolving issues on our content platforms
•    Troubleshooting and resolving issues on our Web Sites
•    Participate in designing long term solutions
•    Creation and Maintenance of documentation
•    Implementations of minor enhancements

Qualifications
•    BA/BS from accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
•    4+ years of software development experience
•    Proficient with scripting languages (TCL, PHP, PERL, Groovy).
•    Proficient with Java web development.
•    Experience with relational databases and SQL, Oracle a plus.
•    Familiar with front -end technologies JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    Ability to prioritize across multiple requests.
•    Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
•    Ability to work under time constraints or to a deadline.
•    Hands on experience with Source Code Control Systems (e.g. Subversion) and Issue/Bug tracking systems (e.g. JIRA).
